In 1981, a small seafood stall opened in Singapore with no signboard — just extraordinary food. Word spread through flavour alone. That humble stall became No Signboard Seafood, one of Singapore's most celebrated restaurant brands, renowned for its legendary chilli crab.
Over four decades, No Signboard Seafood grew from a hawker stall to a household name — once listed on the Singapore Exchange, featured in international media, and visited by food lovers from around the world. The chilli crab recipe, perfected over 40 years, became synonymous with Singapore dining.
In 2026, we asked a simple question: what if the world could taste our heritage — not just in our restaurants, but anywhere? Nova 1981 was born. NO — No Signboard. V — Ventures.
